The Sandman: Endless Nights UK paperback edition 

Sandman fans who've been waiting for the release of Endless Nights in paperback haven't got long to wait now, with the UK edition from Titan Books slated to be released on the 23 August. US fans can get their copy a few days earlier, from 11 August.

Games Workshop to publish graphic novels 

Fantasy wargame publisher Games Workshop is expanding its BL Publishing line of books to include graphic novels based around its gaming worlds. The books will be pocket-sized, 100-150 pages and retail for around $10 (about £6). [via Thought Balloons/ICv2]

Scott McCloud on Making Comics 

Scott McCloud has revealed that he's going to be writing and drawing another book to accompany his previous works about comics - Understanding Comics and Reinventing Comics. The Beat revealed that the third book would be called Making Comics and is due to be published by Harper Collins.


Eisner Awards announced 

The presigious Eisner awards have been announced, with winners including Alan Moore (Best Writer) and Neil Gaiman (The Sandman: Endless Nights won Best Short Story and Best Anthology). For the full results try The Pulse. [via Thought Balloons]


Marvel's graphic novels for October 

Marvel has announced its line-up of graphic novels for October, including the collection of Neil Gaiman's historical heroes mini-series in the hard back edition of 1602. Other highlights see Jack Kirby get the Marvel Visionaries treatment, Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's Punisher: Born, loads of X-Men titles and more. Comics Continuum has the full listing. Four from Titan 

Titan Books has a selection of new titles available now or over the next few days. The UK version of Vertigo's Fables: Storybook Love and Dark Horse's Star Wars: Clone Wars Volume 4 - Light and Dark hit the book stores late last month. Due in on the 23rd of July are Batgirl: Fists of Fury and Terra Obscura, an alternative Earth set in the same universe as Alan Moore's Tom Strong. Bond is back 

The original visual adaptation of Ian Fleming's James Bond is on its third volume. On Her Majesty's Secret Service reprints the classic daily newspaper strip by Henry Gammidge and John McLusky from 1967. As a special bonus, it also includes their adaptation of You Only Live Twice. Scholastic has issued a press release detailing its plans for republishing Bone.

Pick up The Filth 

All 13 issues of Grant Morrison's monthly comic The Filth have been collected into a single volume, to be published in the UK on 23 July by Titan Books. Billed as a "tripped out peek beneath the thin veneer of reality," this isn't a book that any Morrison fan will want to miss, with art provided by Chris Weston and Gary Erskine.

Oni Press lines up the graphic novels 

Oni Press has a nice looking handful of books available over the next month or so. Closer by Antony Johnston, Mike Norton and Leanne Buckley is a horror story about a bitter scientist who discovers the secret of teleportation but find his experiments covered up by the establishment. Next Wednesday sees the release of The Tomb by Christina Weir, Nunzio DeFilippis and Christopher Mitten. It's a modern Indiana Jones style adventure with a female lead, digging into the mysteries surrounding an unkown archeologist who helped discover the tomb of King Tutankhamen. Due a week later, Scott Morse's Spaghetti Western sees two men with a love of westerns don cowboy outfits and hold up a bank. Click on the links next to the images below to order from Amazon.
