Aetheric Mechanics

Short and sweet at only 48 pages, but still described as a ‘graphic novella’, Warren Ellis’s Aetheric Mechanics is a steam-punk view of Victorian England. The English are at war with Ruritania (a fictional European country), though the war is more of a backdrop than the focus of the novel, which pits a Sherlock Holmes-like detective against his ultimate enemy in a murder mystery that seemingly raises more questions than can ever be solved.
