Marjane Satrapi is back with another tale of everyday life in Iran. This biographical work tells the story of her great-uncle, one of Iran’s finest musicians. Focusing on a period in 1958 when, upon finding his tar damaged beyond repair, he takes to his bed and announces he’ll be dead within eight days, the story uses flashback and Satrapi’s usual flair for dialogue and characterisation to tell the story of his life.
