Jack Horner is one of the most famous of fairy tale characters, at least in Bill Willingham and Matthew Sturges’s versions. The young pie eater grew up to climb beanstalks and slay giants, then became even more famous playing himself in Hollywood movie versions of his adventures. But when a mysterious character called Revise tries to lock Jack and his fairytale colleagues in the Golden Boughs Retirement Village, Jack decides to escape.
The resulting adventures take him across America, as he gambles, seduces and scraps his way across the country, leaving an endless trail of tall tales in his wake.
