Bill Willingham continues to weave his Fables magic with the first volume in a spin-off series. The Jack of the title is, of course, the Jack who features so prominently in fairy-tales and nursery rhymes – Jack Horner (also known as Jack B. Nimble and Jack the Giant Killer). Having defected to Hollywood to make his name as a movie mogul, making films out of his own experiences, Jack is kidnapped by a character called Mr Revise and imprisoned. What can Mr. Revise’s plan be? Perhaps there’s a clue in his name, but the real question is whether Jack can escape his clutches and put an end to his conniving.
